I had my first root canal a bit over a year ago. Based on my discussions with my dentist and friends in my age group it seems I have been fortunate to make it this long without one. The endodontist asked me if I wanted the root canal or an extraction. I emphatically opted for the root canal. Ended up with a nice gold crown on that tooth. So far, it seems I made the right choice.
