AI is a software which is written by humans to assist in solving or reacting to various problems or events. Its interpretation and the resulting actions are no better than those that wrote the software.

Based on various researches 65% of academic papers that where written over time where proven wrong or useless or achieving many unwanted side effects.

Same statistic rules applies on AI or Machine Learning - they are nothing more than the interpretation of the software writer to the results of a data base of so called "Big Data" just another slogan for overload of computers distributed information, of clueless, idiots, fake news and some sparse morsels of truth or wisdom which are rarely correctly interpreted

A classic example is the spread of the notion of "peak oil" by the oil companies to keep crude oil prices at unreasonable heights, if any one remembers the over $120 per barrel from $10 per barrel years before - same with NG which is plentiful
