apparantly sbc warburg hasn't spoken with nn. to summarize, nn put out a media alert (this means analysts/portfolio managers like me didn't get it cause it didn't concern us). dow jones picked up on it and the rumour mill went into production. that is why the stock got halted. this was not "nn's plan" as the previous post stated-nn has nothing to gain from this-only more credibility to lose. i was assured that there was no reason for me or any analyst to be in on release of information on monday and that it was for media only. couldn't tell me what it was but i did the math so to speak. if it were relevant to the biz, me and all the analysts would have gotten a conf call release faxed to us-we didn't. furthermore, nn would never announce an analyst conf call for the following morning with the market still open and the stock still trading. all imco only....nick
