There's no doubt in my mind that Warren and Sanders will gain in popularity. And if not them, then AOC and other Socialists. This country has bought Socialism hook, line, and sinker. The USA will shortly become the U.S.S.A. I have no doubt whatsoever. I think once we achieve that, we'll rue the day we did it.

I agree with much of what you say about the problems, though, just not the solutions. For example, I too believe student debt should be forgiven and I'll go one further. Let students discharge student loan debt in bankruptcy. But if we forgive the debt, then I want us to ban the government from getting involved in student loans from the day we forgive all that debt. It was the government getting involved that created the problem, because they introduced deep pockets into a greedy university system. Let banks decide who will get loans, based on their ability to repay. I bet you that Social Justice Warrior degree will very quickly run out of students, since no bank will lend to students who are guaranteed to not earn enough money to pay their loans back.

As to healthcare, I too believe our system is totally f--d and is killing Millennials and the Middle Class, as well as the rest of the 99%. So one thing we know is that Medicare for All will cost $70 trillion over 10 years. Warren's plan has proven that. So what do we do? We can't afford that. I think the alternative is to totally deregulate health care. Let entrepreneurs offer ANY combination of care for any price they want, across state lines. Create Fed laws that supercede state and local laws with the sole aim of letting companies unleash their creativity to compete across all of the US without dealing with all the byzantine, hodge podge of completely incompatible laws in every city and state. Then let people decide what they want to buy. Also, let people buy drugs from other countries and force hospitals and doctors to itemize bills up front, so people can price shop. Force everyone to disclose the prices insurance pays vs what retail consumers pay. Radical decentralization and deregulation just may allow the free market to work in our favor. The free market almost always provides lower costs and better outcomes. The government always does the exact opposite. The problem with healthcare in this country is too much government involvement and too much corruption by the big healthcare companies in bed with government. We need the opposite of that.

Lastly, the rich do need to pay their fair share. I'm not opposed to more taxes on the rich, but let's not go too far into confiscatory and predatory taxes to punish success. You, John, and I have worked very very hard to get to where we are. I too am a multi-millionaire and I believe John is too. I am rich enough that I can take care of myself with no government help the rest of my life and leave a decent amount to my kids. They will still need to work, but certainly not as hard as I have had to. So I don't think it is fair for Warren to start taxing my nest egg, because if she goes too far, then I'll have to take a paycheck from the government too. Don't we want a system where people like us can make enough to take care of ourselves? That should be rewarded not punished.

At the end of the day, the true inequality is not being caused by capitalism, so socialism is not the answer. The answer is end corruption, deregulate and decentralize, and end the Fed. The Fed is the single biggest cancer we have that is creating all the inequality through their low interest rates and QE, which ONLY enriches people like you and me. THAT is what is really not fair.
