I have not found dental insurance to be worth the cost but that's a personal choice.

IMO, that's true in 99% of situations, including the Senior policies from AARP and Delta. The premiums add up to more than the paid benefits AFTER deductibles, reduced payments schedules (U&C), denied claims, etc.

For problem prone people or cavity prone children insurance could be a huge help.
