Re: Intl Mid Cap Growth history....................

Instead of settling for Mr. Buynhold's 5.2% return in the last 5 years AIM has managed to turn 9% gain instead on PIZ. The latest sale carries with it a 24% LIFO gain from the buy about a year ago.

This hasn't been the easiest time to make capital gains in the ex-US markets. AIM has done hard work to smooth the lumps and bumps along the way. From 2014 thru 2016 it was hard to generate a smile but AIM's careful use of the cash reserve saw the holding thru the market lows. Late last year had the Purchasing Department busy adding inventory again.

As the histogram shows, buying has been more frequent than selling in this part of my "international Portfolio." Overall the same is true for the other components. This has been symptomatic of the markets more than anything else. Here's a summary of the nine components in my international ETF portfolio.

(Note, the dip in cash near the end represents me shifting about half of the cash to a Short Term bond fund for added yield on the Reserves)

Overall growth is modest outside the U.S. The portfolio includes emerging markets, small, mid and large cap value and growth ETFs and ex-US REITs. Overall portfolio income yield is about 3.3% while AIM is working to generate occasional capital gains.
