I find it doubtful, but would not mind at all if it happens. Anything for some consoldation. Would help everyone left, but might hurt the buyer, depending on the price (although IBM is so big that they would hardly feel it). I would think though that there may be some anti-trust problems, since the combined market shares of either IBM/WDC or SEG/WDC would be pretty high, at least in theory.
