Trading on inside information or providing inside information to others is illegal. Inside information is anything that is not generally available to the public. In addition, most companies would prefer that investors get whatever information they need through their investor relations department only. That way they have control over what information gets out and hopefully minimize the possibility of shareholder lawsuits! Greg
