>>Care or not but I don't think buy-back will do any good to OAKT in the
long run. The only way to improve OAKT is use the money wisely on new
idea and new technology. CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/CD-RW controller chip is not
enough for OAKT as gross margin is reduced.<<

Andy with most any other company I would agree with you. However, this is OAKT. And for the past 20 months or so, OAKT has had its chance and has failed - actually miserably considering the two units they want to sell contributes only 5% of the revenues but drains 20% of the expenses. Abysmal! Share buyback is not the way to go. The "special dividend" is not the way to go. These are smoke screens and delaying tactics, typical strategy with OAKT's mgt. The way to go is stop the R&D expenditures because you are not acheiving even a reasonable return on this investment. Buy a DVD player, and I don't mean the machine. Alternately, OAKT should place itself on the block to the highest bidder, at the very least OAKT is an asset play discounting thier "technology value". I will not be satisfied with anything else at this point. Enough is enough for goodness sake. I say we take it to the shareholders meeting and demand these changes!! Aren't there any major institutional shareholders who can demand more meaningful changes in this company including mgt. changes?
