Juli Joerg is got your question... I would like to add Joerg is very correct in that time is of the essence. I would also like to add that
Fda regulations need to be met by any competition that materializes and there is some out there.
Ge is interested in the company as a way to grow their business and if Siemens gets in we will find out wether GE is truly interested or not? They control a good size of the MRI market and would not give up market share easily.
So there are a lot of interesting dynamics.. There may be other companies interested as well... jack should do his best for the sake of the shareholders which have been trhough hell with this investment..
The market is not large right now.. the easy apples low to the ground are but 500 scanners... and maybe 200 abroad.. roughly half a billion... so the big guys are not exactly tripping...about it. On the other hand to cover the female population properly there is need for
7000 scanners in the US by year 2000... or roughly 3.5 billion and that is significant.. then throw in the World and its more like 5 billion.. (my numbers..)
