Article in new interactive television consumer mag: SMARTTV. New mag being passed out free to all attendees at CES...SMART TV spring 98 issue. Was it mentioned in the CRTM site? SMART TV does have a link to CRTM ...even though CRTM might not want to reciprocate. (see www.smarttvmag.com) Incidentally, they are planning to be the premiere web-TV type mag for the industry and was passing out free subscriptions to all press. Has an article on Un-inview 210:

UniView 210 Falls Short.

Some quotes: The CRTM...is a respectable first try at an Internet TV settop box by the well-known television manufacturer, but it falls short in too many areas for it to compete with the WebTV plus and Oracle NC boxes of the world. The rest of the article basically says that the box had lots of features but the most important graphics and content were not very good. The summary: This was a nice try at a Net-top box from a company that has always made great television sets, but we expect this market will be rough on poor performers and future generations of this product will need to fix a couple of key deficiencies in order to succeed.

Well, another sad one. I guess CRTM has not made too much noise about THIS press or its link to them. What? Neal didnt read this yet? Must be out at Caesars getting back the carpet they bought from CES along with the comfy sofas.
