First report from AGM (I hope others will post their impressions); -Update:
I wasn't at the meeting, but here's some tidbits: Meeting was well-attended (vis a vis previous years), w/ about 50 present, some of whom it's said will post here (reportedly seen frantically taking notes!). A lot of JV partners filled the room. No real surprises announced at the mtg. Good coffee was served. > ___ MEO should finish the first hole today or tomorrow. Contrary to some rumours, the contents are not yet known. There were problems with the first hole, hence the delay (again, remember the learning curve here). Last heard there was about 30' left of depth before the core is pulled. Hopefully news back by next Fri (again, a five day turn-around).
The operation is reportedly being run very well and very tight-- with real professionals on board, as has been stated, who take what they're doing seriously (e.g., former Kennecott geologists M.Senn & I.Downey, also Chris Lourde,, several others). ----- Apparently the first confirmed kimberlite will be delineated with angle drilling... the remainder will not. About 2 holes per week are expected, of the first 18 targets.
Hope to hear more here from others.
Cheers, -j :> |
