Christine,
Your comment, "I think there should be a lot more reproductive responsibility, but everyone is not equally healthy or at a good place in their lives, and some ill and underaged women are used by men, . . ."
I can see the aspect of underaged women being used by men, but I'm missing the reference to those who are ill. What kind of illness would women be suffering from which men might exploit for the explicit purpose of having sexual relations?
Haven't really read the thread for awhile. Thankfully when I do, I know there won't be any specific posts which might irritate me.
Back to art: I really can't justify buying a piece of art in the four digit range given our current combined income. We would have to cut back drastically to buy something in the range of the pieces prices. Besides, don't really have a distinctive place to display it. Not to mention, I'd have to take it down and hide it when my parents or S.J.'s mother came over. <gg>
Another artist whose work I enjoy, stopped by where I work yesterday. While out and about last weekend I saw a piece of his displayed in one of the galleries which I liked. I walked out to the front of the business where he was standing and asked him to let me know when he wanted to give me a 95% discount, I'd take "Girl in a Tub" off of his hands. He said, looking over to his wife, "you do know that is (wife's name)?". Okay, 75%. :-) |
