You have been fooled by Magic Money Theory Ant.

The US$ is an invention like Code Division Multiple Access which created mobile Cyberspace. Qualcomm charges a royalty for using their inventions. The Federal Reserve and USA government charge a royalty to use US$.

But Qualcomm has to charge directly whereas the Federal Reserve and USA government charge their 8% royalty by way of dilution.

You mistakenly think no inflation means no dilution.

Judge Lucy Koh and many others think 4% or even only 2.6% which is what Qualcomm charges is extorquerationate. They whine like a fleet of Koreans who whined like a fleet of 747s about Qualcomm's derisory royalty.

Ask Apple how much they charge or look at other royalty rates to see how ridiculously low Qualcomm's royalty is. GSM for example was 16% royalty. Qualcomm obviously does not have a monopoly and the price is far too low as shown by Qualcomm vs Apple revenue profit and market capitalisation.

And Qualcomm's inventions are protected for only 20 years.

US$ at 8% is the biggest royalty in biological history. The profits are fantastic.

The reason we don't have inflation is because of Qualcomm's inventions and millions of other inventions. Compare your computer of 1969 1979 1989 1999 2009 and 2019. And compare the speed of your mobile Cyberspace in those years. And the cost per megabyte delivered.

How about the car you owned in each of those years and what they cost and how much maintenance and fuel they needed. And their pollution. And safety. And reliability.

Airline travel = same thing. Everything has got better and cheaper.

It's not just technology. It's economic scale. A billion Chinese eked out a living in rice paddies. Now they are stealing technology and making it their own. They are even inventing some things. Certainly producing megatons of stuff at low cost which Americans buy with those hot off the press Magic Money Theory hyperinflation dollars.

Production is moving to Vietnam as Made in China prices rise due to competition.

The hyperinflation is papered over for now with Magic Money Tree theory but bitcoin shows the lack of trust and fear of when the game will be up.

There should have been deflation
There has been for computers because progress was fantastically amazing. But house prices and cars haven't fallen much in price and neither have oil or gold. Oil production has become more difficult so price is sort of stable. Prices should have fallen.

My plan is to replace US$. My plan is going very well. I've been on the job for 36 years and longer really since I figured out their game. Progress is fast now with the inefficient unreliable bitcoin already worth umpty $billion.

No taxation without representation. The rest of the world is enslaved by Americans taxing us via US$ dilution. I say freedom. The revolution is coming.

If Americans charged only 1% royalty it might be tolerable as a financial lingua franca. But Americans are greedy. Greed is the root of all Evil.
