Your presence here John has always been dignified - I admire that and your academic demeanor representing a lifetime of experience in that domain. I'm not certain just how to take that first sentence. Sounds a bit like a back handed compliment. But typing never conveys body language. As for the second paragraph, I don't see the term "moderation" is applicable to my concerns. I'm actually against a political insanity which considers death wishes for ones political opponents acceptable, and rather sees it as deeply morally wrong, most likely politically counter productive, and something that gets us closer to civil violence. We may get there but I don't plan to contribute to that process.
