There are different kinds of polls with different characteristics.

By "meaningless" I'm referring to the traditional context. There is still useful data to be taken from state-by-state poll aggregation using the LV/RV models only. National polls are essentially useless.

The voting patterns for Boris were sort of the same as for Trump. The polls aren't adequately measuring the disparate nature of the politics of various social strata. Same thing happening here.

The only people who have nailed this down thus far has been the Trump campaign of 2016 and surely for this year as well. This is why Trump captures is able to capture crowds that are 100s of times larger than anyone else's, save for a couple of already failed liberals in NYC and Seattle.

IF we get to the end and no one is showing up for rallies like they did with Clinton last time, I think it is a likely indicator that it is over, regardless of what the polls tell you.
