Hi Yaacov.

The problem here is: The President is the Commander-in-Chief. The military is held to a high standard over here. Remember that female Airforce Lt.Kelly? She lost her job because of lying about her affair and there have been occassions where higher ups have been demoted or fired because they had liaisons (affairs) with subordinates. Our President has not only been accused of sexual misconduct(which he promised not to do in his pre-election speeches) with a White House employee but has been accused of trying to cover it up by asking the young lady to lie about it. I am saying here: Been accused. I withhold judgment on this one until all the facts are in. Hm.

We also have laws over here - I think they are in effect in Wash.DC - that call adultery a crime. But trying to coerce someone to lie in a sworn deposition (Ms. Lewinsky testified under oath in this matter) is definitely a crime here. I guess we have to change the laws to accommodate Europe. gg.
Those things again are only charges and not fact and are being investigated.

Do you happen to know that we have a Republican Congress? Do you happen to know that we have a Republican Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan?
Do you think this could be one of the reasons that we have a strong economy and low inflation? Could it be that businesses are allowed to thrive but some branches of the Gvt. which have been appointed by Mr. Clinton are trying to stem this tide? Example Msft and Intel. Would it be possible for us to even make more money if they would leave those 2 companies alone? gg. Could it be that the sky is the limit now because Mr. Clinton has the good luck of not having to deal with the cold war and therefore we were able to cut back on defense and concentrate on our economy. And could it be that the R.Congress is holding the spending down which had to be accomplished by leading the kicking and screaming Democrats to the well? But you are right, Mr. Clinton does deserve some of the credit and respect on those matters. He practically had to go against his own fellow Democrats to get all this through.

Let's hope that all this stuff will be solved pretty soon. I think it is affecting the markets and if something comes out of it, it would be even worse. I remember the Nixon saga.

Ok, I am out of here for the night. Otherwise I could go on forever. gg.

Sonny
