Keep the faith, baby! The stock doesn't know that you own it. This is a great opportunity to average down. As long as Herb is at the helm, Southwest will continue to outperform the industry. Others can try to knock off its business plan, but it's not as easy as it looks. Just look what happened to ValuJet! I challenge anyone to find a company with as much employee loyalty as LUV. The employees love the company and it shows in the attitude they bring to their jobs. And the attitude they convey to customers. For my dollar, it's the only airline that makes flying fun. In contrast, an American Airlines employee once told me she hated Bob Crandall's guts because he treated flight attendants like scum. I shorted the stock the next day. Southwest is the smartest operator in the business. You will be richly rewarded if you are patient. I just wish we could get Herb to stop smoking!
