Do I know of anything that will help their bottom line near term? Of course this is only my opinion but I don't see anything that could have a significant effect on their bottom line. But here is the way I see it. GT had a meltdown just over a year ago and that actually was what germinated this thread to begin with. Since then GT has not failed to meet analysts expectations and in some cases they've actually gone a few cents over. However, that same meltdown crippled the stock indefinately. When Total Annihilation came out along with Abe and DN on PSX we looked ready to recover. Then came the Micropose debacle. The deal was dubious on a cost basis alone and a very serious dilution of earnings but it didn't help for it to fall through. In effect, it killed the stock again. I would bet this is more of a hidden agenda behind the law suit then this royalty silliness. So now we are left with GT having their highest hopes hung on TA and Abe most likely seeing the sales decline. That comes with all games as they age. But I don't think everything is bleak. I still think that new PC installations still eventually end up buying Duke. When I go to the stores someone usually has a copy of Duke. Also, we are inclined to look at them as only a game company and I don't think they are strictly a game company even though the majority of revenue is derived from these sources. I share your apprehension but should GT meet or beat their numbers this quarter and release Unreal in Q2 I think there should not be too much to worry about. I don't expect a loss to come about but you never know. Short term they are going to have to hold Epic's feet to the fire and get Unreal released in order to bolster the end of life of many of their titles. Unfortunately I see it as a wait and see attitude and that's always bad for a stock's performance. The difference I see between them and Acclaim is that Acclaim had a stretch where NOTHING they put out was anything other than crap.
