Ben...Gold Price Monitor? I don't know what you are talking about!. My knowledge? Very superficial and internet based: just trying to guess. That's all. Not all my guesses are correct (I wish!). Probably something like 60% correct. I have mad big bad moves in the past.
ALTA had a great volume increase but not the greatest rise in %. I am patient. I think that small cap goldmines tend to rise after the big caps Nice to see the S.A. mines take off too. If the bullion goes to 500$, those SA mines will do unbelievably well because they are so cheap now (low PE). This low PE being due to their big cost for extracting one ounce of gold.
If one does not invest in gold, there are many short opportunities in this lousy market. Gold is no longer one.
Good luck all.

Now for another ALTA guess: significant resistance just below 2$ from a TA pont of view (trendline). We should easily make 1.75 Monday if this good environment persists. From a trading point of view, ALTA should open Monday with a gap (opening Monday above today's closing) if investors remain bullish about gold over the weekend (I don't see how they wouldn't right now). If this scenario is correct and if Monday is as bullish as today, then ALTA will close Monday higher than the open. If I still had some rupiahs, I would have a BUY market order at the open, to just get in quick. ALTA is still very low priced as compared to the last 2-3 years... so 5 cts should not make a big difference... The point being that if one believes that this has strength to go much higher, one should jump in. Just IMHO. Only trade what you can afford.
For gold to go up a lot, small investors will have to literally swallow all the gold that central banks and other forces might dump on the market.... but guess what: I think many investors could be ready after this weekend to take significant positions in gold. Just my feeling here. No real basis for it. Just getting irrational about gold prospect... (BTW I should may be dig in my backyard... who knows!..)
