Jack; As I see it the Asian rescue will be well under way by spring, and their currencies will rise. This will cause a local drop in gold price in their currency and useage will go up, and so will prices.
I suspect we will see some kind of meltdown is the South African gold areas very soon. The hot summer is under way, and all their mines are marginal now, or loss making. The operators will resist paying more, the workers(mainly black, paid less than whites still) are getting very restive. Like all unions they think the operators are making billions, and they stand ready to strike for huge increases. The black majority government is having trouble keeping them under a logical thumb. If that happens at the same time we could see $500, ??. but who knows, the rulers there may be able to keep the workers under control.
