In the past week or so, it seems the activity level on this thread has picked up significantly after a major lull. Without trying to stop the backslapping completely, the following should be noted about two recent stocks discussed here:

1. Anyone contemplating playing FIBR must read the Barron's cover story from last August, which was an expose of the company. This may have been brought up here, but I have not seen anyone do so. The article will give anyone pause and may convince you to keep your wallet in your pocket before you follow someone's advice to "buy more for the long-term." There's a reason (several, actually) why the stock dropped from $11 to $2 last year.

2. The recent mention of ADVT is chilling and should not occur in any forum in which investing--or even smart trading--is the goal. In November, the stock reverse split 1:12, then proceeded to drop from $1.50 to 9 cents in the next month. The company's press releases are ludicrous. This is the kind of stock that's not even safe to daytrade; you can step away from the screen for five minutes, only to come back and find it blank. But hey...as a poster here noted, it's up 400% in a few days!

And so it goes.
