You are biased. Here are the facts. The 6th Amendment to the Constitution delineates the rights of the accused in a trial:
* Right to a speedy and public trial - Nancy and Schiff started this with speed and denied Trump a whole bunch of rights, because they said, "if we don't do this fast, he'll cheat in the next election and win." Then once they won the vote to impeach him along party lines, but missing a few Democrats, they decided that speed is not really important. That violates the 6th Amendment. In addition, they started off the proceedings hiding in the basement and denied Trump a public hearing. What did they have to hide? Again, violates the 6th Amendment.
* Right to a trial by an impartial jury - there was nothing impartial about House proceedings. They denied the Republicans requests for witnesses. Denied Republicans freedom to ask the questions they wanted to ask. Denied Trump the right to an attorney to be present, if he were to show up to be questioned. They lead the witnesses they did call, with Schiff even coaching them on what to say. The whole thing screamed bias in violation of the 6th Amendment.
* Right to confront your accuser - Schiff conjured a prime witness out of thin air, then when everyone found out that witness was a former CIA stooge, he turned him into a whistleblower, and then never called this witness to testify. The whole thing was a joke, but it also violated the right of the accused to confront their accusers, which is a violation of the 6th Amendment.
* Right to cumpulsory process...the right to call witnesses to the defense - Again, the Democrats denied Trump and the Republicans the right to call witnesses of their choosing, which is a violation of the 6th Amendment.
* Assistance to counsel...the right to an attorney to be present at all proceedings - Again, the Democrats denied Trump the right to an attorney at the proceedings, which is why he finally refused to show up. The Democrats violated the 6th Amendment with this nefarious procedural ruling.
In short, the Democrats ran a biased and Unconstitutional Impeachment Hearing from start to finish. The vote is a sham that is not only biased, but Unconstitutional. The fact that Pelosi now again violates the 6th Amendment by delaying the presentation of the Articles to the Senate, is evidence that she knows their hearings were not impartial and the results are those of a Kangaroo Court. The Senate will put this to bed with soon enough, but in the mean time, the American People see very clearly the destruction of our Institutions the Democrats are creating with all of this buffoonery. |
