Berkshire owns roughly 250 million shares of Apple, acquired between $108-160 per news reports.
Apple now at $280 would show a 35 billion or more profit. If My math is correct.
100% increase in 10 months from the January/ February low.

Many of the other stock holdings are also up nicely yet BRK-B is only $226 today up $40 from its 52 week low of $186.

While it’s true that his public stock holdings are a small part of the picture, I am wondering if the changes in book keeping that he referred to in his annual meeting comments isn’t having a negative impact.

An estimate of of $227 was given as book value about 9 months ago when there was talk of BRK buying back shares so it seems it should be much higher now.
