Yes, Terrence, I am beginning to believe they are well matched. I think the thing they have in common is that they both prevaricate very well, also!!!
On a more serious note, a source at ABC says Hillary has been talking to her girlfriends on the phone, is staunchly behind her man as usual, and is considering a statement or an interview or something like that. While the American public certainly SWALLOWED them last time when she stood by Billy in 1992 during the Gennifer Flowers affair, that was just sex, and this is perhaps perjury and obstruction of justice, skills these people have finely honed.
Nor am I sure anyone wants to be reminded by a Hillary encore that Bill lied in 1992. It has been widely reported that in his deposition last Saturday he testified that he did indeed have an affair with Flowers. This is a serious point--much of the tv discussion today was about how people are getting wise to Bill, and want the actual TRUTH, not a lawyerly response, from him in the future. (The explanation is, believe it or not, that yes, he did have an affair with Flowers, but it was not for twelve years, as the question asked, but for a different time period.)??????? |
