You think the real economy is coming back? Man, I just don't see it. The numbers say otherwise. Housing is rolling over and the PMIs look sick. Where is the additional growth going to come from? Companies are using all their extra cash from their debt binges to buy back stock. Even they don't think its worth reinvesting in more capacity. SP Earnings have been declining since Feb 2019 and some big companies have said earnings will decline further. We're in an earnings contraction. The only reason why the stock market is higher is because the Fed has pumped $300B of freshly printed 1s and 0s to expand their balance sheet and hoover up short dated collateral in the repo market, which has pushed more liquidity into the markets. That means all we're seeing is PE expansion. The real economy is on the skids.
