The risk trend here at the close of a banner 2019 year isn't as generous as we might desire.

The v-Wave shows risk higher by about four full percentage points compared to the start of 2019. That's still not bearish but is a less optimistic starting point than a year ago. Even so, today's risk assessment is well below the peak risk of 2018.

The graph shows risk building here at the end of the year. The flattish v-Wave through much of 2019 was accompanied by nice index price growth but lately gains in the markets were being matched with increases in market risk.
