I don't miss bread anymore and I use to love garlic bread. Life moves forward, not backwards. In fact, I don't miss any of the pastas I use to eat 3-4 times a week for 60+ years. Once I give something up or it is taken away from me, I begin the process of removing it from my emotional system. I have done this also with deaths of loved ones extremely close to me. Not that I don't think of them, but I move on. A wife is easily replaceable. A mother or child isn't. But still I've moved on. It is called survival. One can die of grief or looking back in the past to deeply.
No regrets, no guilt.
Being heathly has a hard side to it.
