That looks about the size of the one that tried to carry away my Himalayan cat from off my deck.

I had the cat on a leash (indoor cat) for safety as I sat and read.

He almost got my cat, but saw me at the last second and broke away - but I think my cat's paw (that he reached up to defend himself) touched the owl's claw.

Here's my Lama (white) with his two siblings (Dolly and Yoda), who went to Rainbow Bridge a couple of years ago. Lama's siblings had gone a year or so earlier.
