The Portfolio Submission Deadline is SUNDAY, 1/5/2020, MIDNIGHT, PST!
Second place KMASTR’s portfolio, up 182.27% for the year, and third place OHMS’ portfolio, up 143.68% for the year deserve kudos as well for their phenomenal performance.
It was also a banner year for the 39 Contest portfolios. At 2019’s closing bell, the Contest median was up a very impressive 45.16%, significantly outperforming the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI), up 24.41% for the year and the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI), up 32.10% for the year. The Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI) ended 2019 up 35.23%.
At 2019's close, 33 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the green, while 30 beat the NBI and 28 beat the SPSIBI. And 8 of the 39 Contest portfolios more than doubled for the year!
The 167 Contest stock picks had an average 46.87% gain for the year and a median gain of 11.08%. I’ll post additional 2019 summary data as soon as I can get to it.
