I have a sister in NSW, about 300 miles north of Sydney. She's OK at the moment, and her air is clear, but it was really bad a few weeks ago. All this is in addition to a national average maximum high of 105 degrees for 3 days in a row, which is amazing. Oz is only about 150,000 sq miles smaller than the Lower 48.
