If Clinton had nothing to hide regarding Monica, a media frenzy would not be a serious concern. They could present the facts in a prompt, straightforward way, answer questions without playing word games, and move on. His spinsters have handled dozens of allegations and are masters at it. They obviously have something to hide.
I think they're trying to figure out which allegations there is proof for, and are trying to figure out plausible excuses for them. Why else would it take several days and teams of lawyers to make a statement? Why would they be so worried about everyone agreeing on getting the story straight if everyone just told the truth.
They're also trying to decide which of the supoenad (sp?) documents to turn over and when. What can they get away with holding back? How much time can they buy this way? They have a very long history of doing this.
And why would Monica's lawyers be trying to get her immunity if she didn't lie under oath. (And if she lied under oath, that means she DID have sex with Clinton.) Telling lies to Linda Tripp is not a crime. Lying under oath is the only crime she has been accused of for which she would need immunity.
The news just said that Ginsberg offered for Monica to testify that she had sex with Clinton in exchange for immunity, but she wouldn't say she was told to lie about it. I say Starr should go for it. If Bill testified last Saturday that he hadn't had sex with her, and she says he did, and can produce the DNA, answering machine messages, etc., then thats perjury and its bye bye billie.
I am 99.9999999% sure that Bill did something with Monica that he should not have done. I'm not sure what that thing is, but the way the White House has handled this whole thing makes me think the worst. |
