| | | Trump didn't show up because Schiff denied him the right to have an attorney present and to call witnesses to the defense. So Trump exerted Executive Privilege, which is his right as President. Had Schiff even been remotely fair and allowed the proceedings to include standard rights afforded every defendent, then maybe the Republicans would have played ball.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. You Democrats want to play dirty against Trump, but then when he fights back, you get up on your high horse and say he isn't playing fair. My advice to you is put on your big boy pants. You picked a fight with a prize winning fighter. So he's not going to lay down and play dead for you. If you want to beat Trump, then you guys are going to have to be a hell of a lot smarter. So far, you have played into his hands at every turn.
My best advice for you is this. You aren't going to get rid of a President you don't like through non-stop fake investigations and impeachment garbage. You will only get rid of Trump by coming up with better ideas and a better candidate and beating him in the election. So far, your ideological mix of Socialism, anti-Capitalism, nihilism, anti-white, pro-Transgender, immorality, pro-drugs, anti-Constitution, pro-corruption of the FBI and CIA and DOJ, and all the other transparent anti-Americanism you all have embraced has been a real turn off to Generation X and the Boomers, as well as Independents, Libertarians, and centrists. In short, you are running a losing platform with shoddy candidates. Subverting the electoral processes is not going to help you win. So you can continue to do the same old thing and keep losing or try a different platform and more appealing candidates for a change. |
