In 1955 my parents planted 120 acres of white and red pines - plantation style. We need more folks that think like that .. :) They were growing a natural forest :) Our National park on the Rouge on the Toronto Border is lauded often.. yet go off the beaten planned track as I do and you find it a mess of invasive non native weeds such as European Buckthorn and Garlic mustard among others... I spent so many hours walking my cattle dogs there.. I know every inch... It is not pretty..
