Trump or not impeaching Trump? Or do you think they will not be affected by any course of action they chose? Den Valdron Trump’s base is crazy, irrational and hateful. And they’re about 30 to 35% of the population. The impeachment just riles them up. But the truth is, you can’t accelerate beyond crazy. Impeachment takes them from 94% pissed off to 96% pissed off. Who cares. Never Trumpers are about 45 to 50% of the population. They’re heavily motivated against Trump. But they can be dispirited. Democrats have to show a spine. Not impeaching doesn’t help them at all. So that leaves15% to 25%. Surrendering to Trump and not impeaching…. probably doesn’t help. Who wants to vote for weak politicians. Americans will always vote for a strong bad man over a weak good one. So odds are, it’s worth it to impeach. The Republican’s theory is that impeaching Trump will provoke a backlash like it did with Clinton. The trouble with that is that Clinton was impeached for a blowjob. Trump’s impeached for treason, bribery, extortion, abuse of office and obstruction. So maybe there won’t be a backlash.
