Interesting, yes, but there is a lot of competition out there, at prices no higher and sometimes less than what WDC is charging. Can these cameras compete with Ring? Or Honeywell? This is not a new product, has been out for some time, and is kicking it in its intended market. WDC has years of experience in the surveillance storage market, and cameras were a logical extension for a complete, turn key system. Ring and Honeywell are irrelevant to the market they have tapped into, and cannot compete with what WDC brings to the table. And those in need of serious surveillance applications are driven by functionality and reliability, not on low cost.
