The results published by Mines Abcourt come from the period which ended on September 30, 2019 and which represents the first quarter of its financial year 2020. The ore extracted and milled comes almost exclusively from the Elder mine, located north of Évain . During these three months, 29,531 tonnes of ore were milled, an increase of 42% compared to the same period for the quarter ended September 30, 2018. In all, the company produced 3,588 ounces of gold for its first quarter of 2020. This is an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year. The average gold content of the ore is 4.22 grams of gold per tonne of ore. Current projects Abcourt mainly focuses its activities around the exploitation of the Elder mine. In fact, a $ 2 million exploration program has recently been launched. The company also owns the Sleeping Giant mine, located halfway between Amos and Matagami, where recovery projects are being studied. At the moment, only the factory is active at Sleeping Giant.
