Brendan,

Seems to me that people who bought Zip at retail had a need to fill immediately and therefore need more disks.

With OEM sales many users are going to wait until their 6 gig drive is filling up and then they will need to utilize Zip and disks. If you're just a home pc user you may not have enough "stuff" for a year.
