NYSE. Every year you complain about the NYSE index. I don't think that the NYSE is crap. It does not exclude large and great companies -- it includes them based on market cap. I actually compare myself to the reit index to see how am doing, since i am 55% to 60% reits. I like to think that i have better reit picks than a general reit fund, and better utility picks than a utility fund, or whatever. If you are heavy in tech stocks, then compare yourself to a tech fund to see if your stock picking "provides value", and is worth your effort.
