Yes, when that particular missile gets to a point very close to an aircraft its own sensors pick up the object and its explosives are detonated and the shrapnel causes catastrophic damage to its target. Quite often the missile detonates very close to the front of an aircraft where the pilot and the controls are situated.

I've seen photos of that Boeing's debris showing multiple shrapnel holes in the wings, etc ...., supporting the contention that the plane was shot down.

Those demented mullahs at the "helm" of that country couldn't organize "A Piss Up In A Brewery" let alone an effective strategy against America or its President.

Iran and its peoples have a great potential as a country. What the indigenous population needs to do is TO KICK OUT THOSE MENTALLY DERANGED RELIGIOUS FANATICS AT THE HEAD OF THEIR COUNTRY and vote in individuals who are determined to live and govern in the 21st Century and DRAG THEIR COUNTRY OUT OF THIS CURRENT 16TH CENTURY MENTALITY !!!

Religion and Politics DON'T MIX ..... That's why America's Founding Fathers constructed the Constitution in the way that they did.
