Bill, the idea that the money we sent to Iran was theirs to begin with is one of the biggest examples of intellectual cowardice I've ever seen.

If it was theirs to begin with, why didn't Obama present this case to Congress beforehand? Or to the American people?

If it was theirs to begin with, why not wait for the World Court in The Hague to make that decision official?

If it was theirs to begin with, why unilaterally change policy that dictated for decades that the money should be withheld, especially from a state sponsor of terrorism?

This excuse, that it was their money to begin with, lets libtards avoid defending the indefensible, that Obama used the payment as a ransom and as a way to buy peace.
