OFF TOPIC - kinda I've pulled some pieces together from my research & private email, on the Oil & Gas industry, and their "Year 2000" readiness. It ain't good. Plus ... it's a good reference point for the media to understand the scope of the problem. Since information systems is referred to as "IS". Maybe embedded systems should be referred to as "ES"? Cheryl P.S. Whenever you send SI links to friends who are not SI members, you have to change the beginning of the URL to: techstocks.com.... That way they can immediately access from email. If you just do a cut & paste of the actual URL at the top of the screen - they're outta luck. I make the change for every URL that I reference in a post, so everyone has access if they copy to an email.
