THANKS CIMA - Great summary on Calgary presentation.

Jens has a huge amount of international experience, and he is well respected in his field. What he lacks in public speaking skills I believe he more than makes up for in geological expertise and experience.

I think he lends the greatest credibility to this entire affair and that is one of the reasons I believe in this company.

Thanks again for the information.

Now for some recent info from Indo:

The Singapore-based Business Times newspaper reported on Saturday that U.S. investment bank Morgan Stanley had recommended Indonesia issue US$10 billion in long-term bonds to ease short-term corporate offshore debt burdens.

A senior team of Morgan Stanley corporate financiers was in Jakarta for meetings with the finance ministry, the paper said.

Government officials or Morgan Stanley executives were not immediately available for comment in Jakarta.

The proposed debt plan would have two key components, the Business Times said.

First, the government would assume about US$10 billion of short-term offshore debt owed by corporates, with debts due within the next six months taken as a priority. The companies would eventually have to repay the debts to the government.

Second, Jakarta would simultaneously issue US$10 billion in bonds to institutional investors globally with the proceeds being paid to foreign banks with huge Indonesian exposures.

The debt mess is also hitting local banks hard and officials have tried to speed up consolidation among the nation's more than 200 private banks by getting institutions to merge.

Executives announced a fresh bank merger plan on Saturday.

Four banks including the large privately-owned Bank Umum Nasional and middle-ranked Bank Duta said they would merge to create ''a solid and healthy bank.''

Following the PPP agreement to back Suharto, Antara quoted party officials as saying it had also made a list of candidates for vice president, including Research and Technology Minister Jusuf Habibie, incumbent vice president Try Sutrisno and Planning Minister Ginanjar Kartasasmita.

Other vice-presidential candidates include Information Minister Hartono and army chief-of-staff General Wiranto, diplomats have said.

Speculation has mounted in recent days that the big-spending Habibie might be a leading contender and therefore Suharto's possible successor.

But diplomatic analysts say Habibie's past relations with the military have been strained over his control of weapons procurement and strategic industries. Habibie also heads the country's aircraft maker, which had its state funding cut out under the agreement with the IMF.
