Question are we on a deflationary spiral as Rickards and others say or an inflationary spiral like a host of others believe is the end game? Or can we somehow continue to punt with the forces of deflation (debt, globalization, excess industrial capacity, Chindia) being offset by inflationary forces of asset inflation, tight residential markets and rents, health care and education probably near the end of possible price rises this cycle? I just don't know if Germany and Japan is our future with negative longer term rates and even higher asset values and costs of living but low growth without a bad recession?
