I can't trust any politician's word. In fact, since Nixon there has not been a trustworthy politician. I voted for the first time in 1972.
I don't trust anyone. On a human level, people will always act in terms of what is best for them. On a divine level, I don't trust G-d either basically because his plan and my self-interest don't always coincide. I am not a Christian and can never become a Christian because I have loved my mother, father, brothers, wives, sons, grandchildren and some friends more than G-d. In Judaism that's Ok. In Christianity, it is not Ok.
What these politicians say and what they do are sometimes very different things. The campaign gives one a general idea of what they would like to accomplish. Sanders is not a democrat. In many ways, his views lie outside the system. I will take him over Trump any day of the week. As much as I dislike Biden, I will take him over Trump too.
I am no fan of any politician. They all have faults. But some are better than others. It is not a perfect world, Broken Clock. Lack of perfection is no reason not to vote or act decisively.
