Rich, I answered your original question based on the limited scope that your question implied:

The implication there is how such a move would help me, as in me specifically, right now, with my current circumstances. I don't have pre-existing conditions, so gutting coverage for it would indeed help me.

Maybe later on, I might lose my job, and I'll get sick while unemployed, and I'll be darn thankful for insurance that will cover pre-existing conditions. But you can't pretend that coverage doesn't come with a cost to everyone else.

Yet that's EXACTLY what every leftist assumes, that health care costs go up because of those oh-so-evil for-profit corporations. They NEVER blame their own regulations or mandates for the rise in cost. NEVER.
