HI Gz; I closed short on SPY Friday at 2pm, I just naturally
shy away from an open position like that over the weekend,
but that was before I saw the currency drop ! Had I saw that in time,
I would have left it open. I may re-open Monday but will look first.
GZ; I have never looked into shorting bonds beyond the point that
it's a rich mans game, out of my league. As are futures
contracts , except for a few options. These things are leveraged
so strong that with out a ton of money in your account a small
move can wipe out the entire account. I've seen millionaires
go bust over the week end playing futures, stone bust too.
The account with millions in it when they went to bed, and
a move against them over night, cause them to wake up the next
mourning with zero. There was a high profile case last year,
they guy cried and tried to claim foul play, but it did him
no good. He was cleaned out before he could blink..If
your shorting bonds you need to own your own brokerage house,
you may win one or two times but believe me sooner or later
it will clean your plate. Some people make a fortune..to just
lose it back, and every thing else they worked for goes
with it. Things are fixed by people working in collusion
and if your not part of that inner loop, sooner or later
you wind up on the wrong side of a move that completely
takes you out of the game. Stop loses "don't work" like
most people think either.

You are right about the IMF attempting to curtail military
aggression, but only were they want some stability. On the
other hand they can avert their eyes quickly, and have
no problem funding a country with a dictator who they know
is militant, as long as he is militant against the "right"
people. These "right" and "wrong" people are determined by a
select inner loop in a Brotherhood of Big Bankers, of which the
IMF is just one arm. A sort of exclusive boys club, groomed
educated , and filtered through various, but mostly high brow
European Fraternities, where they are taught all the secret signs
hand shakes, and other investures that keep them exclusive,
they have their own code of omerta, more sophisticated than
the Mafia has. It has evolved, and been tuned and polished
over many many generations. Generally it entails a final ritual
so degrading that any one ever admitting to have taken part of it,
would be unbelievable. Loyalty is not a virtue with them,
it's enforced by the ability to expose an individual members
darkest secrets if he is found guilty of an offence by a special
tribunal, and to do it in a way the exposed person is helpless
and made to look foolish if they in turn try to expose the
circle. In this way they at least don't have to kill their own
but can break him and "cast him out" the fear of that among
them is so great that most would prefer to commit suicide
than to become "out casted" and broken.
It's an inbreed old school of exclusiveness, insulated from the
Lower classes, protected behind curtains of secrecy, consisting
Of the descendents of those who grilled their children into being
terrified of the world most of us have to live in.

Why in the world did I get so carried away..perhaps it's part of my
Guilt feelings heaven knows. I did at one time as an impressionable
youngster years ago, go down a very similar path, only fortune plucked me from it. In my older years I've done a sort of study of what little is know of "secret societies" and found some common methods of operation existing that I could easily recognize from my own early adventures.
Filling in the blanks to try to determine what may have become of me had I continued down that path., a sort of dreadful picture developed.
From my vantage point now, not much of it is nice to look at,. and it also caused some feelings of selfdisgust. I had a hard time getting out of the denial, which then reverted to grandiosity , and bounced back and forth for years.
By and large I think once they've passed some of the more advanced
investures they become lost, and unredeemable. Passing from youth into a permenate adolescent state were their growth as a human is arrested, and the degeneration of natural values most humans have becomes becomes a normal and inevitable curse thrust upon them.

I'm fond of saying that there must be some hope that even the devil can be Redeemed, or there is little hope for any of us. Yet when it comes to being Exclusive and locked in an exclusive society shrouded by secrets and guarded by fear, then how is one to find a way out ? --------
If you ever get a look at the comrades in the upper circles of the financial world of capitalism, when they are enjoying one another's company with their guard down, if you look good you will see
children, frightened and shy children.
