Thank you for the information, Harry. I have been busy on projects so I have not been able to contribute much to Chris' thread over the past several months. That "Ticker Tape Digest" web site looks like it has potential. I am going to have to take a closer look at it.

How have you seen stocks respond to the earnings announcements? Ihave not researched this question, but it appears that the reaction is unpredictable in many cases. This is where companies reporting an earnings suprise in one instance can spike up and in another instance with a can fall through the floor with a simular report. This also appears to be true for companies that announce earnings disappointments. Perhaps one factor that made the difference is what each company ended up saying in their conference call in terms of their future earnings prospects. If a company in their conference call mentioned "Asian Flu", this may have then impacted the stock of other companies in the same industry that had upcoming earnings reports. Also, I suspect there were some companies that more agressively "lead" their investors to a lower numbers through earnings warnings that may have actually been designed to hit below the actual eanrings that was going to be reported.

Any thoughts?
