The MSFT trials are unimportant

I always had thought that trials were really important in deciding which vendor would win business. But according to Jim Bender (CEO of Aware), they are simply a public relations game. He said that there were about 3 or 4 important trials and everything else was only good for press releases. And of all of these trials, the MicroSoft trial was probably the most meaningless. It was simply an exercise in public relations.

At first, I wondered if he was just blowing smoke, but subsequent events have lead me to believe that he is right.

Trial results are meaningless.

This doesn't mean that Westell won't win business, but it won't be because of trial results.
