How do you know it is “excellent”? Politico isn’t exactly an unbiased, trustworthy source.

But, whatever. Assume it is.

The status quo ante on part of the subject is a perfect outcome given where we are. “First, do no harm.”

He is not giving away the store, he’s saving a strong position for the strength that will come with his re-election , and if he loses, Bernie or Joe can waltz in and just give it all away having done no harm.

It is brilliant strategy, one that puts the nation first, even if the source is correct. Protecting OUR economy from a bad personal outcome. Trademark Trump “Put America First” behavior.
